The Mario Umana Academy is a school where we believe in the core values of Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Curiosity and Community. The mission of the Mario Umana Academy is to develop the whole child by:
Teaching a rigorous curriculum aligned to National and District Standards and differentiating instruction to make the curriculum accessible to diverse learning styles.
Preparing students to face change by fostering their ability to adapt and create.
Encouraging our students to build critical thinking skills in all content areas. In our Dual Language program this will occur in English and Spanish.
Nurturing curiosity, imagination, creativity, and innovation in all classes
Instilling virtues such as honesty, compassion, and empathy.
